Job Title: Scientific Operations Coordinator

Job Description:

This role involves overseeing a range of operational laboratory activities including the coordination and provision of scientific and technical training as well as the ongoing review, development and quality management of laboratory practices.

Key responsibilities include delivering pathology services relevant to the laboratory using Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems and Quality Control Systems and computer programs such as Microsoft Office suite.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality pathology services to meet laboratory requirements
  • Utilize laboratory information systems, patient systems, and quality control systems for efficient data management
  • Validate and verify instruments and assays in clinical molecular microbiology
  • Develop strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills to engage with customers and colleagues
  • Manage competing priorities to meet deadlines and work collaboratively within a team environment while working autonomously
Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in laboratory information systems, patient systems, and quality control systems
  • Familiarity with computer programs such as Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Organizational and Time Management Skills:
  • Able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
