Key Responsibilities :

  • To oversee the financial service function of a partnership by taking responsibility for advanced tasks centered around accounting and tax compliance, while continuing to improve the accounting function.

Key Responsibilities include :

  • Statutory reporting including partnership, trust, corporate, and audit of AFSL licensee companies.
  • Tax compliance including income tax returns for partnership, service trust, and related corporate entities incorporating PAYG withholding / instalments, BAS / IAS, FBT, income tax returns, payroll tax, stamp duty, STP reporting.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts including regular analytical review and comparison to budget.
  • Day-to-day management of the finance team and overall finance function of the firm.
  • Cashflow management, reporting, and analysis.
  • Maintenance of the fixed asset register.
  • Monitoring and management of bank debt position including reporting on annual covenants.
  • Management of year-end processes including reporting, budgeting, and partnership matters.
  • Annual stamp duty reporting to the Queensland Revenue Office on changes in partnership equity including assisting in the preparation of schedules for independent valuation.
  • Reconciliation of partnership equity accounts and maintenance of capital/current accounts reconciliation.
  • Manage ASIC compliance for associated entities.
  • Management of administration and claims process requirements for the firm insurances.
  • Ad-hoc reporting as required.
  • Review and development of general financial and KPI reporting for the firm.
  • Reporting to the General Manager and Finance Partner.

    You will work closely with other members of the practice management team.
