Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Outdoor Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our grounds maintenance crew, you will be responsible for maintaining our outdoor spaces to the highest standards.

About the Role:

  • Maintain gardens, parks, and other outdoor areas to a high standard
  • Carry out regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement solutions
  • Perform pruning and trimming tasks to maintain plant health and appearance
  • Monitor and control pests and diseases in outdoor areas
  • Install turf and irrigation systems as required
  • Conduct chemical spraying in accordance with provided training and safety protocols
  • Mix fuels and chemicals at required ratios
  • Plant trees and shrubs correctly to ensure maximum survival rates
  • Water and maintain outdoor areas without supervision
  • Design and install irrigation systems to optimize water efficiency
  • Perform tree care and maintenance tasks as required

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Horticulture or related field (e.g. parks and gardens, turf management, landscaping)
  • Chemical Training AQF3
  • Valid driver's license with own vehicle
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable and punctual work ethic
  • First aid certification (MR or HC license preferred but not essential)
