Position Overview:

We are thrilled to present an exceptional opportunity to become a part of Box Hill Institute at our Lilydale Lakeside Children's Centre (LLCC) as the Lead Educator in our Walert (Babies) Room.

If you possess a deep passion for Early Childhood Education, you will find great fulfillment working with our dedicated team at LLCC.

As the Lead Educator, you will collaborate with a committed team to deliver innovative educational and care programs in a long-day care setting for children aged 0-6 years. This role allows you to implement diverse educational initiatives, crafting engaging and stimulating learning environments that resonate with the children's interests, relationships, and opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include promoting health and safety for all staff and children within a nurturing, secure, and stimulating environment. You will actively engage with families and children at LLCC, maintaining relevant records to showcase children's participation and share insights with families.

As a vital member of the LLCC team, you will partake in regular early learning centre routines, including meal times, rest periods, and educational programs that incorporate nature play, alongside utilizing our remarkable outdoor facilities.

At LLCC, we encourage the integration of your unique interests into the children's education, whether it be physical education, music, cultural celebrations, or healthy eating practices. LLCC fosters a positive and engaging work atmosphere, providing opportunities for team building and professional development on a consistent basis.

Candidate Profile:

  • Diploma in Children's Services/Early Childhood and Care
  • First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
  • Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management Certification
  • Proven experience in early childhood education with a solid understanding of childhood learning and developmental health
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory factors governing early childhood service delivery
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiastic about early learning and thriving in a collaborative team environment
  • Adaptable to the dynamic nature of the early learning centre environment
  • Safe Food Handling Certificate (desirable)
