High-Quality Nursing Care for Surgical Patients
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our General Surgery Unit at a leading healthcare facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures.
This role requires the ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, providing pre and post-operative care, patient assessments, wound care, medication administration, and supporting recovery and discharge planning.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to professional development and a desire to work in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Provide pre and post-operative care, patient assessments, wound care, and medication administration
- Support recovery and discharge planning
- Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
Requirements:
- Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the relevant health authority
- Demonstrated experience and clinical skill as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated capacity to provide effective nursing care that is person-centred, family inclusive, and culturally sensitive
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
- Demonstrated effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to work a flexible roster, day, evening, or night shift across all days of the week
