The Yarrabah Public Health Program is a dynamic and culturally responsive initiative dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of the Yarrabah Aboriginal community. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public Health Nurse to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement proactive public health initiatives in collaboration with community stakeholders.
- Provide clinical nursing care and services within a primary health care setting.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance health outcomes and promote cultural safety.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health needs.
- Advanced diploma or degree in nursing with a focus on public health.
- Proven experience working in Indigenous health settings, preferably in a community-controlled environment.
- Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, and health determinants.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
