This leading CSG production company is dedicated to managing domestic gas supply and expanding global LNG markets. As an upstream operator, they are committed to increasing production efficiency, reducing costs, and advancing decarbonisation efforts in their operations.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Senior I&E Engineer to join our client's team. The successful candidate will provide technical support, design, implementation, and commissioning expertise for Integrated Gas, focusing on delivering brownfield and greenfield projects. These projects cover various areas, including Gas Processing Facilities, Pipeline Compressor Stations, Water Treatment Facilities, Wells, HV Kiosks, and Pipelines. The scope of equipment includes RTUs, SCADA, PLCs, controllers, and alarm management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Develop control and automation systems for brownfield and greenfield projects, ensuring designs align with project goals and comply with engineering standards.
  • Review and Assurance: Review engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with business requirements and engineering standards, manage changes through the Management of Change (MOC) process, and control system modifications.
  • Technical Expertise: Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Process Control Systems, providing technical support and advice to the Integrated Gas business.
  • Documentation and Reviews: Develop and review Concept, FEED, and detailed design documentation, conduct peer reviews, lead the creation of engineering work requirements, checklists, and recommendations.
  • Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Liaise with control system vendors and sub-contractors, manage service contracts, foster strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including asset engineering and project management teams.
  • Risk Assessments and Compliance: Conduct risk assessments, perform ALARP reviews, ensure all designs comply with applicable safety and engineering standards.
  • Engineering Standards and Best Practices: Contribute to the development and maintenance of engineering systems and standards to reflect best practices and industry advancements.

Essential Requirements:

  • Australian working rights
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5-7 years of practical experience in a similar role (RPEQ is preferred but not essential)
  • Proven experience working with DCS, PLC, SIS, SCADA systems, and associated infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of control engineering and process automation systems
  • Critical thinking skills to develop designs and solutions for complex engineering challenges
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, proactive approach to addressing issues and finding effective solutions
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in technical writing
  • Ability to build positive working relationships and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Solid understanding of document management principles and systems
  • Experience in setting programming, alarm, and user interface standards
  • Strong understanding of the Management of Change (MOC) process

Salary: Estimated $1100 - $1300 per day, based on Brisbane CBD office location.
