Job Title: Community Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking a dedicated professional to fill this challenging role.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with clients, families, and carers to deliver recovery-oriented, person-centred care in a new Transitional Recovery Program.

  • Engage clients using evidence-based practices including motivational interviewing, brief interventions, trauma-informed care, and family-inclusive approaches.
  • Develop and facilitate group programs that build skills and support recovery goals.
  • Support families and carers through information, education, and referrals.
  • Collaborate with community services to ensure coordinated and integrated support.
  • Contribute to the day-to-day operations of the service.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Youth Work, Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or other health-related field.
  • Experience working with people with mental health challenges and complex needs, including families and carers.
  • Proven capability to implement therapeutic frameworks and practices including risk mitigation, trauma informed care, and family inclusive practice.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
