Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic mental health professional to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges.

The Transitional Recovery Program provides tailored support, shared activities, and group programs designed to help adults leaving acute mental health services build independence, prevent hospital readmission, and thrive in the community.

Our team works collaboratively with clients, families, and carers to deliver recovery-oriented, person-centred care.

About the Role
  • Engage clients using evidence-based practices such as motivational interviewing, brief interventions, trauma-informed care, and family-inclusive approaches.
  • Develop and facilitate group programs that promote skill development and personal growth.
  • Support families and carers through education, information, and referrals.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with community services to ensure comprehensive support.
Key Responsibilities

This role requires a highly motivated and compassionate mental health practitioner who can work effectively with clients, families, and carers to deliver high-quality care.

  1. Provide individualised support to clients with complex needs.
  2. Facilitate group programs that promote skill development and personal growth.
  3. Collaborate with community services to ensure comprehensive support.
  4. Maintain accurate records and contribute to the day-to-day operations of the service.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in a relevant field such as mental health, psychology, social work, or occupational therapy.
  • Experience working with people with mental health challenges and complex needs, including families and carers.
  • Proven capability to implement therapeutic frameworks and practices.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
