Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced accounting professional to join our team. As a Senior Accountant/Manager, you will be responsible for providing expert financial guidance and support to clients, ensuring their compliance with tax laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and tax returns for various entities, including companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to the team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Engage in special projects that require innovative thinking and initiative, such as succession planning and tax planning.
  • Liaise with clients and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage GST reconciliations and BAS lodgements efficiently and effectively.
  • Offer tax compliance and advisory services to clients, providing them with expert advice and support.
About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong technical knowledge of taxation and accounting principles.

  • You should have a detail-focused approach, with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A strong understanding of business operations and financial management is essential.
  • You will need to be a proactive team player, able to work collaboratively with others to achieve shared goals.
  • Minimum 4 years of public practice experience, preferably in a senior accounting role.
  • Experience with accounting software and technology is highly desirable.
  • An accounting degree and working towards or qualified in CA/CPA is mandatory.
  • You will need to demonstrate strong technical skills in financial statement and tax return preparation.
  • A genuine interest in agribusiness and regional clients is a plus.
  • National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain one) is required.
