**About Us**

The Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) plays a vital role in the Australian legal landscape, providing an independent review process for individuals and organisations under Commonwealth laws.

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Risk Advisor to join our Enterprise Technology Group. This exciting opportunity will see you provide high-quality cyber security advice to internal stakeholders and contribute to steering business technology solutions that align with internal and whole-of-government security/risk management policy.

As a trusted advisor, you will be instrumental in assessing and assisting in creating architectural designs and patterns to achieve consistency in the application of security models across concurrent streams of work. You will develop security artefacts and contribute to maintaining currency and relevance of artefacts to ensure continuous integrity of security solutions.

You will be responsible for advising on the safety and security of newly proposed components and technologies from third parties, ensuring they meet our standards. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying areas where technology, privacy, and security intersect, and advocating for the embedding of cyber hygiene practices within business process design through early engagement, training, and education.

In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to engage with various internal stakeholders, including APS staff, Members, internal technology/project teams, and external suppliers. You will provide a two-way conduit of information flow between the TSRA team, CMS program, and other key delivery teams.

The ART is currently undergoing a Digital and Cloud transformation program to upgrade its legacy infrastructure to a cloud-first model. As part of this initiative, there is a significant investment in building a new Case Management System secured by cutting-edge security technology. Reporting to the Director of Technology Security, Risk, and Assurance (TRSA), you will work collaboratively with a friendly, supportive, and collaborative environment that challenges the status quo.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Enthusiasm for staying up-to-date with cutting-edge technology and applying your knowledge to novel approaches to manage risk and enable secure business.
  • Ability to conceptualise how traditional security control frameworks can be applied to the abstracted Cloud model and understand how contemporary architecture can mitigate risk while providing increased business flexibility.
  • Strong logical reasoning skills to comprehend intricate technology risks and translate them into business language.
  • Thirst for continuous learning and passion for evangelising how security technology can be a business enabler.

Mandatory qualifications include academic or vocational certification in Technology and/or appropriate industry best practice standards and frameworks with specialisation in cyber security, such as CISM, CISSP, CCSP, CISA, GIAC. A Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) clearance is also required.
