Job Opportunity

The Positive Behaviour Support Lead will be responsible for leading a team of experienced behaviour support practitioners to deliver high-quality service that empowers individuals with unique needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate a team of behaviour support practitioners to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery to clients.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of client-specific behaviour support plans that promote positive behaviours and enhance quality of life.
  • Provide expert guidance, coaching and mentoring to team members to build their skills and capabilities.
  • Contribute to leadership decisions related to the Positive Behaviour Support sector.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and review client support strategies.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, occupational therapy or a related allied health discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in providing positive behaviour support to individuals with complex needs.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, families and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop practical behaviour support strategies.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards governing positive behaviour support.
  • NDIS registration as a PBS practitioner at proficient level or above.
