About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Customer Support and Recoveries Team as a Customer Support Consultant. In this role, you will play a critical part in assisting customers who are experiencing financial hardship and working with them to find suitable repayment arrangements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and assist customers who are experiencing financial difficulty or hardship
  • Identify and support customers who are vulnerable or at risk
  • Manage and action collections allocation queues, prioritizing accounts based on risk
  • Establish personal contact with customers to negotiate suitable repayment arrangements
  • Report on high-risk or potentially fraudulent accounts
  • Identify and report on accounts that require ongoing follow-up or may be considered bad debts
Requirements
  • Banking and finance knowledge
  • Experience in collections with a supportive approach and keen intuition
  • Experience negotiating debt repayment solutions
  • Understanding of the National Credit Code and Comprehensive Credit Reporting
  • Ability to assess financial statements
  • Excellent communication and diplomacy skills
  • High level of professionalism and customer service focus
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Good competence with Microsoft Suite
