Job Scope:
Procurement Specialist (Pumps-Cyclones-Valves) APAC is responsible for ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, equipment, and services for PCV mineral processing operations.
To achieve this:
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for raw materials, equipment, and services related to PCV operations.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers for favorable terms and cost-effective procurement.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize sourcing, reduce costs, and ensure quality material availability.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
- Monitor and analyze procurement costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement measures to improve efficiency.
- Assess and mitigate risks related to procurement activities, such as supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with inventory and logistics teams to manage inventory levels, optimize stock levels, and minimize stockouts.
- Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to track procurement performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and project requirements.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in procurement roles, preferably in the mineral processing or related industry.
- Experience in sourcing, evaluating, and managing suppliers and vendor relationships.
- Proven experience in negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
- Experience in assessing and mitigating procurement-related risks.
- Familiarity with procurement compliance requirements and practices.
- Experience in inventory control, stock management, and optimization.
- Experience in data analysis and reporting to support procurement decision-making.
