The Royal Flying Doctor Service is an iconic organisation that has been delivering primary health services to remote and rural communities across Victoria for decades. Our history is deeply rooted in the state, with four of our major founding figures hailing from remote and rural communities.

Today, we continue to address the challenges faced by people living in these communities, providing a range of services that include non-emergency patient transport, primary health care, and aeromedical evacuation. Our team of skilled professionals work tirelessly to ensure that those in need receive the best possible care, no matter where they are located.

We are seeking highly motivated and compassionate Patient Transport Officers to join our Mobile Patient Care (MPC) team in Wonthaggi. As a PTO, you will be responsible for transporting patients safely and efficiently to their destinations, while also providing high-quality clinical care and treatment during transport.

To be successful in this role, you will require a Certificate III in Non-Emergency Patient Care or equivalent qualification, as well as a full Victorian Driver's licence. You will also need to have a strong understanding of RFDS MPC policies and procedures, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you can expect a competitive salary of around $60,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you will enjoy generous penalties and overtime allowances, as well as access to salary packaging for all employees, including casuals.
