Dietitian

Join our team at St John of God Bunbury Hospital as a Dietitian, where you will play a vital role in providing clinical nutrition and dietetic services to our patients.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian to join our multidisciplinary team. As a Dietitian, you will work closely with our healthcare professionals to provide evidence-based clinical nutrition and dietetic services to our patients.

• Provide direct nutrition and dietetic services to patients and/or carers on an individual or group level for both inpatients and/or outpatients.
• Coordinate the provision of special dietary requirements of patients.
• Provide consultation and support to medical, nursing, catering, and allied health professionals within the Division, and external agencies, as appropriate.
• Use nutritional knowledge to inform menu development and compliance with relevant hospital nutritional standards.
• Document patients' medical nutrition therapy in the approved manner.
• Participate in multidisciplinary activities, such as team meetings, ward rounds, or case conferences, as required.
• Develop and review dietary education resources.
• Supervise, instruct, and assess dietetic students in approved clinical teaching programs in liaison with the Supervisor/Manager.

To be successful in this role, you will possess a tertiary qualification in Dietetics and be eligible for full membership with Dietitians Australia (DA) and evidence of Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status.

You will have demonstrated ability to appropriately apply Evidenced-Based Practice and dietetic knowledge to patient/client management. Furthermore, you will have the ability to communicate effectively and work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment and have well-developed organisation and time management skills.

• Salary: $79,823 to $112,259 plus 11.5% superannuation.
