Job Title: Mental Health Response Specialist

 

About the Role:

Our organization is seeking a skilled Mental Health Response Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our response unit, you will provide critical support and assistance to individuals in crisis situations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to mental health-related incidents in the community, providing on-site and telephone support as needed.
  • Collaborate with police officers to identify and address mental health concerns, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop personalized plans to support individuals in crisis, focusing on recovery-oriented strategies.
  • Provide advanced level interventions, including triage, mental health assessment, and management of complex emergencies and crises.
  • Work closely with other responders to ensure seamless communication and coordination during emergency responses.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience working with mental health populations, particularly in crisis intervention and response settings.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations, maintaining composure and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Capacity to think critically and make sound judgments in complex, dynamic environments.
