Mental Health Specialist

This is a specialist role within the acute care service of our community mental health team. The successful applicant will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide mental health interventions for consumers experiencing a mental health crisis.

  • This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working with consumers with complex needs and be able to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that meet their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing specialist mental health interventions to consumers 18 years and older who are experiencing a mental health crisis.
  • Collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to increase service capacity and address the acute needs of our clients.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each consumer.
  • Working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support for our clients.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practice in mental health care.
