Senior Software Tester

A key role in our organization involves planning, designing, executing, and delivering project testing for the National Electricity Market (NEM) Retail.

  • High-quality and timely test case execution is essential.
  • The Test lead & Test manager rely on inputs to prepare Test plan & Test Summary documents.
  • Test cases must be easily executable and detailed enough to be repeatable.
  • A team works together to deliver system-tested releases with no high-severity defects.
  • SIT, UAT & Industry testing are executed.
  • Defects are investigated, resolved, and retested by the test team.
  • The Test lead & Test Manager create and execute test plans, improve current test processes, and enhance automation capability within the team.
  • Others testers are supported and trained to maintain test execution on track.
  • A strong understanding of AEMO's applications and how they are used by users / market participants is developed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in manual testing is required.
  • Working experience in NEM (National Electricity Market) or Utility sector is preferred.
  • Demonstrated history of working in fast-paced & complex projects involving Web based / Client server applications / Batch applications.
  • Cosmos database & Azure Applications (i.e. AKS, Function App, databricks) experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong experience in database testing, API Testing and associated tools (Postman, SoapUI etc).
  • Working experience in the use of test management tools such as Jira / PractiTest / Service Now.
  • An in-depth working knowledge of the principles and practices associated with testing of information technology projects.
  • Quality and speed of delivery seek continual improvement.
  • Familiarity with system and technical requirements in a highly regulated and complex multi-system setting.
  • Agile, DevOps, CI / CD framework experience is desired.
