Natural Areas Officer Position

Seeking skilled professionals for a reputable environmental conservation role in the North Sunshine Coast region.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead daily operations of the Bushland Management Team.
  • Implement effective weed removal strategies within designated bushland reserves.
  • Maintain accurate records of chemical distribution as per regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on public relations matters related to bushland reserve management.
  • Contribute to client-driven bushland management plans.

**Essential Qualifications and Skills:**

  • Experience or ability to rapidly familiarize themselves with local road infrastructure and bushland reserves.
  • Capacity to identify and manage declared environmental weeds and pest animals, including familiarity with control methods.
  • Demonstrated expertise in plant health and maintenance practices.
  • Able to execute natural area restoration projects effectively.
  • Practical experience in operating and maintaining small plant and equipment.
  • Relevant qualifications such as Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management or equivalent experience.
