Job Description

Cadet Drafters are sought after to join our team in the Queensland region. As a Cadet Drafter, you will have the opportunity to work on water-based projects and develop skills in drafting and design techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Learn all facets of CAD, drafting and design techniques
  • Work under the guidance of experienced engineers and designers on engineering projects
  • Provide accurate and efficient drafting services for the Business Unit

As a Cadet Drafter, you will gain hands-on experience and formal training through TAFE. You will be supported as you develop real-world skills while working towards your qualifications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking individuals with strong academic performance in Mathematics, Engineering, and English, or those who are currently enrolled in a relevant diploma or degree program.

  • Completed QCE (or equivalent) with strong academic performance in Mathematics, Engineering, and English
  • Limited experience or a keen interest in drafting and design in the civil and structural space
  • Ability to gain and apply knowledge of engineering drawing techniques and CAD packages
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office (MS Word and MS Excel)
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team environment
  • Ability to problem solve and manage time effectively
