Job Title: Heavy Vehicle Technician

About the Opportunity:

  • We are seeking a skilled Trade Qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team in Mackay.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for completing general servicing tasks on heavy vehicles, including Mercedes Benz, Kenworth, Volvo, Isuzu, Fuso, Hino, and Freightliner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs of mechanical, pneumatic, diesel systems, auto electrical, air conditioning, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conducting diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify issues with complex vehicle systems.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company policies.

  • A competitive hourly rate of $48 per hour is provided, along with a weekly tool allowance and laundry allowance.
  • Fully supplied personal protective equipment (PPE) is available, as well as modern workshop facilities with top-of-the-line diagnostic equipment.

Requirements:

  • Trade Qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift up to 25kg regularly
