Job Title: Accounts Receivable Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Accounts Receivable Officer. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working in a dynamic environment and is looking to further their career.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing full-function accounts receivable transactions, including monthly billing, receipting, reconciliation, refunds and debt collection. They will also administer all customer accounts, collecting unpaid bonds, handling customer discrepancies/disputes, and identifying bad debt for escalation.

In addition, the Accounts Receivable Officer will manage customer payments, processing direct debit payment files and cash allocations. They will also claim Medicare online and prepare debtor and accounts receivable month-end reporting requirements.

About The Role
  • Process full-function accounts receivable transactions, including monthly billing, receipting, reconciliation, refunds and debt collection.
  • Administer all customer accounts, collecting unpaid bonds, handling customer discrepancies/disputes, and identifying bad debt for escalation.

  • Prepare debtor and accounts receivable month-end reporting requirements.
Requirements
  • At least two years' experience in a similar role with end-to-end accounts receivable/billing experience.
  • Previous experience in aged care is desirable but not essential; training on aged care fees and legislation will be provided.
  • Good knowledge of general accounting principles.
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is crucial.
  • Solid financial and analytical skills, including experience working with Excel and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work with high volumes of customer accounts.
  • Confidence in having transparent discussions and negotiations to reduce bad debt.
  • Strong organisational, time management, and task prioritisation skills.
