About the Role:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical abilities, functional limitations, and individual needs.
- Collaborate with clients and their support networks to establish realistic goals tailored to their specific needs and aspirations.
- Design personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings and established goals.
- Educate clients, family members, and caregivers about proper body mechanics, safe mobility techniques, home exercise programs, and strategies for injury prevention.
- Regularly monitor clients' progress, reassess their needs, and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure ongoing improvement and goal attainment.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including other healthcare professionals, support coordinators, disability support workers, and allied health practitioners, to provide holistic care and promote seamless coordination of services.
Requirements:
- Degree in physiotherapy and Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) unrestricted registration as a physiotherapist.
- Minimum of five years contemporary experience.
- Maintain currency in subject matter expertise through ongoing professional development and learning opportunities outside the formal education process.
- Ability to quickly establish effective and authentic rapport.
- Demonstrated high level emotional intelligence.
- Excellent administration and record keeping skills.
Working Conditions:
- Work may be conducted in various settings, including client homes and community institutions.
- Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate client needs, including occasional evening or weekend appointments.
- Travel may be required to visit multiple client locations within a designated geographic area.
