Maritime Warfare Officer Submariner

Job Summary:
The Australian Defence Force is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maritime Warfare Officer Submariner to join our team. As a key member of the command team, you will be responsible for the safety and operation of Navy submarines at sea.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Manage a Team: As a Maritime Warfare Officer Submariner, you will be responsible for leading a team of sailors and directing the operations of personnel onboard the submarine.
- Safety and Navigation: You will be responsible for the safe navigation of the submarine and the monitoring of submarine safety.
- Operations and Tactics: You will contribute to submarine warfare activities and tactics, and oversee the use of weapons systems.
- Crew Management: You will manage and lead the crew and their activities, ensuring the well-being of all personnel onboard.
- Submarine Operations: You will be responsible for the control of the vessel, including safety and navigation, and oversee sensors and weapon systems.
Training and Development:
As a Maritime Warfare Officer Submariner, you will receive extensive on-the-job training, equipping you with the skills and knowledge needed to develop as a leader and become highly trained and efficient in supporting the security and safety of the submarine and personnel onboard.
Shore-Based Positions:
When not posted to a submarine, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of shore-based positions, including operational planning, project management, career management, and general managerial roles.
