Facilities Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Assistant to join our village team.
About the Role- Perform general maintenance and repairs across the village property.
- Undertake minor maintenance tasks as needed.
- Carry out regular safety checks, preventative maintenance and report any hazards or issues.
- Assist with setting up rooms or areas for events and resident activities.
- Liaise politely with residents and staff to respond to maintenance requests promptly and respectfully.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety procedures and policies.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in general maintenance, handyman work or a similar role.
- Basic skills in a variety of trades (e.g. carpentry, painting, plumbing).
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- A genuine respect for older people and the ability to interact warmly and professionally.
- First Aid Certificate
