Animal Care Professional - Assessor

As an Assessor, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals at our Richmond Campus.

This exciting opportunity is for motivated individuals with current experience in Animal Care who are passionate about helping students achieve their highest potential.

Your role will involve implementing assessment strategies, conducting independent assessments, and identifying gaps that require further support.

A day in this role involves evaluating students' knowledge and understanding of the Animal Care section within the Western Sydney Region.

You will create and conduct assessment tasks, provide feedback and support to students, and motivate them to complete tasks and activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • TAE10 Assessor Skill Set or equivalent
  • Certificate in one of the following: Certificate II or III in Animal Care, Certificate III in Captive Animals, Certificate IV in Vet Nursing or Certificate IV in Farriery or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Animal Care
  • Commitment to develop VET knowledge and skills as well as maintain industry currency and assessor competence
