Job Title: Animal Care Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate animal care professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal welfare and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description:

As an animal care professional, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to dogs and cats in our shelter. This includes cleaning and maintaining the kennel and cat areas, feeding and exercising animals, and providing attention and affection to those in need.

You will also be responsible for observing animal behavior, reporting any changes or concerns to management, and participating in training and educational programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in animal science or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with animals in a shelter or similar setting
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
