About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to work on the pioneering SSN AUKUS Build Program, delivering an essential sovereign capability for Australia.

As a Business Architect - Information Technology, you will play a crucial role in aligning operating model elements (people, process, technology, and data) with the strategic objectives of ASC.

This role involves interpreting strategy and transforming those needs into operating models and solutions that support the strategic goals of the organisation.

You will work closely with various stakeholders and subject matter experts across the submarine enterprise to develop and implement architectural frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain the Business Architecture Framework: Ensure alignment with organisational goals.
  • Translate High-Level Business Strategies into Operational Needs: Create actionable plans to support the strategic goals of the organisation.
  • Create Models to Facilitate Operational Decision-Making: Blueprint operational elements to drive business success.
  • Develop Roadmaps to Implement Operational Elements: Monitor performance and make adjustments as needed.
  • Engage with Stakeholders: Understand their needs, provide updates, and gather feedback.
  • Ensure Streamlined Processes: Increase operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Foster Strong Stakeholder Relationships: Ensure high levels of stakeholder satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree: In Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional Certification: TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) or Certified Business Architect (CBA) is desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 to 10 years in a business architecture or related role, preferably within a defence or high-security environment.
  • Strong Knowledge: Of business architecture principles and frameworks.
  • Experience with Enterprise Architecture Tools: And methodologies.
  • Excellent Analytical and Strategic Thinking Skills: Ability to translate business requirements into operating model solution blueprints.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Experience in project management and stakeholder engagement.

Eligibility:

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level.

Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
