Family Dispute Resolution Expert

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality and inclusive FDR services to families in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of individuals and provide information, referral, and support to strengthen relationships and aid families through separation
  • Develop and implement child-focused parenting plans and property settlements in collaboration with families, ensuring a collaborative approach that meets their unique needs
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislative requirements, including family law, family violence, child support, and child protection, staying up-to-date on any changes or updates
  • Build strong relationships with community agencies and organizations to ensure seamless support for families, fostering a network of resources to aid in their journey
  • Travel to remote areas and accommodate overnight stays when required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability

Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in community welfare practice, such as Social Work, Psychology, or Social Science, with significant experience in family dispute resolution
  • Accredited and registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner with the Attorney General's Department, possessing the necessary credentials to excel in this role
  • A current driver's license and willingness to travel, ensuring the ability to reach remote areas and serve families effectively
