Job Opportunity: Balance Sheet Expert

The role of the Balance Sheet Performance Analyst is a crucial position within our organization. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of financial modeling processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain Net Interest Income (NII) & Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) frameworks that underpin the bank's internal view of margin performance.
  • Drive margin optimization through analysis of product pricing, portfolio mix, rate changes, and customer behavior.
  • Collaborate with Treasury, Risk, and business units to align FTP and forecast assumptions with market rates, hedging strategies, and interest rate risk positions.
  • Assist with technical implementation of model and methodology changes to reflect updated product behavior, interest rate assumptions, or liquidity cost allocations.

This is a permanent position open to full or part-time employment. We offer flexible work options that prioritize employee satisfaction, and a hybrid model of minimum 3 days per week based out of our corporate offices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance, Business, Commerce, Risk Management, Information Technology, or a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Mathematics, or Actuarial Science preferred.
  • Ideally 2+ years of relevant experience at an Australian banking institution preferably in a finance function.
  • Knowledge of bank balance sheets, banking book systems, FTP, IRRBB data, operations, and products.
  • Experience with SQL Server is desirable for data analysis, reporting, and process automation.
