A leading renewable energy asset owner and developer committed to creating a sustainable and clean energy future. With a strong portfolio of projects and a focus on innovation, we are driving the transition to renewable energy sources. Due to increased transaction flow the firm are seeking a talented Financial Modelling Analyst to join a dynamic team on a short-term contract basis. This role could be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.

**About the Role**

As a Financial Modelling specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting project finance and M&A activities. Your primary responsibility will be to build, update, and analyse financial models for various renewable energy projects. You will work closely with the finance and investment teams to ensure accurate and insightful financial projections, contributing to the successful development and acquisition of renewable energy assets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain detailed financial models for renewable energy projects, including cash flow projections, sensitivity analyses, and valuation models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project data, assumptions, and market insights to enhance model accuracy.
- Conduct due diligence and financial analysis to support M&A activities and investment decisions.
- Prepare and present financial reports and models to senior management and potential investors.
- Identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities within financial models.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market dynamics to inform financial projections and decision-making.

**About you**
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Strong experience in financial modeling, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling software.
- Knowledge of renewable energy project finance, tax equity structures, and power purchase agreements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
