Supply Chain Optimization Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Optimization Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing customer demand and market trends to inform our sales and operations planning processes.

  • You will utilize statistical forecasting tools to capture customer demand and market intelligence.
  • You will ensure accurate, complete, and up-to-date forecasts at the national level.
  • You will work closely with marketing and customer teams to maintain alignment between sales forecasts and budgetary targets.
  • You will communicate forecast accuracy reports, including root cause analysis and actions to address.
  • You will lead supply chain collaboration workstreams and initiative supply chain execution for key initiatives.
  • You will work with central planning teams to ensure build plans meet requirements to achieve optimal inventory levels.
  • You will own the phase-in/phase-out process and communication.
  • You will ensure all central planning deadlines are met regarding demand and supply deadlines.
  • You will communicate monthly and weekly product availability and any significant issues constraining supply of inventory to the organization.

Requirements:

  • You must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in planning (demand and supply) within an FMCG environment.
  • You must have strong analytical, numeracy, and planning skills.
  • You must have experience using statistical forecasting tools with a high level of proficiency.
  • You must have strong MS Excel skills and intermediate Power BI skills.
  • You must have strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills across multiple levels and functions.
  • You must be a team player with a strong customer service mindset.
  • You must be disciplined and methodical with an ability to work to a fast pace and tight deadlines in peak periods.
  • You must have experience working within an established sales and operations planning process.
