We are seeking an experienced Chief Demand Planner to join our dynamic team in Sydney. As the driving force behind our demand forecasting and supply planning efforts, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring optimal inventory levels and exceptional customer service for our Travel Essentials and Duty-Free business units.

 

Demand Forecasting and Inventory Planning:

In this key position, you will develop accurate demand forecasts over a rolling 6-month horizon, leveraging historical data, market trends, and business insights. You will also collaborate with Commercial, Marketing, and Operations teams to integrate promotions, new product launches, and seasonal trends into the forecast.

 

Inventory Replenishment and Optimization:

You will manage and optimize inventory replenishment, minimizing excess inventory and obsolescence while maintaining high stock availability. This involves establishing effective supply plans that align with demand forecasts, supplier lead times, and distribution constraints.

 

Supplier Performance and Inventory KPIs:

You will monitor and enhance supplier performance, inventory KPIs, and forecast accuracy, conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions. Additionally, you will propose and support initiatives to streamline the supply chain, enhance stock availability, and optimize inventory.

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need 3-5 years of experience in Demand Forecasting and Inventory Planning in a large, fast-paced, high-volume retail environment. Proficiency in Business Central, SAP, or other ERP systems, as well as advanced Supply Chain Planning tools (e.g., Blue Yonder, RELEX, SAP IBP), is also essential.
