We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Engineering Support Specialist to join our team in our Malaga Data Centre for Fujitsu. This is a permanent role with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 24 x 7 support services to the data centre client base, visitors, contractors, and other data centre roles.
- Work on a shift roster pattern, providing 24X7 coverage, including 2 x 12-hour day shifts and 2 x 12-hour night shifts followed by 4 days off.
- Ensure awareness and compliance to all data centre certifications.
- Escort and dedicate supervision to clients and visitors.
- Manage ad-hoc and remote hands requests.
- Handle goods receiving and collection.
- Coordinate equipment movement and staging.
- Manage tape management and operational support.
- Monitor BMS, CCTV, and access control systems.
- Update Remote Hands workflow and perform routine tasks in the Fujitsu DC Management systems.
- Generate client and environmental reports.
- Action all Transition to Zero Alarms.
- Previous experience in a data centre environment, relevant to facilities maintenance, security, and/or implementation activities.
- Hands-on network experience, including physical level, layer 1 cabling, and data comms.
- Experience with Telco service and its physical delivery methods.
- Experience in a high availability data centre environment with critical SLAs.
- Experience in the installation of rack mounting servers and IT equipment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to navigate and operate onsite BMS systems.
- Understanding of critical site mechanical and electrical infrastructure in a high availability environment.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including backup media management, basics cabling infrastructure, and rack installations.
- Knowledge of site node room functions and Telco infrastructure, such as IDF, MDF, cross-connects, and uplinks.
- Availability to do rotational shift work to cover 24 X 7 requirements.
