About the Role
Cyber Security NSW is seeking an experienced Manager, Strategy Policy & Government Relations to lead our team in Sydney. This role involves developing and implementing strategic cyber security advice, coordinating with stakeholders, and representing the organisation at relevant working groups.

Key Responsibilities
- Represent the organisation at relevant working groups, produce briefing notes and other reporting to drive best practice and information sharing to governance groups.
- Develop and provide strategic advice on submission requests ranging from external providers through to Cabinet submissions, ensuring engagement with technical stakeholders as required.
- Undertake qualitative research across large data sets to understand behavioural changes from cyber awareness training methods.
- Lead organisational and/or Government policy and initiatives, through the provision of cyber security related advice, information and/or training to relevant stakeholders to facilitate the appropriate interpretation and implementation of cyber security.
- Develop best practice cyber security policies, standards, reporting protocols, ICT contracts, and risk assessments.
- Develop and synergise DCS and Cyber Security NSW Strategies, ensuring inclusion and alignment to remit of ID Support NSW.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Stay informed about the constantly changing NSW cyber security landscape, including emerging threats, vulnerabilities and governmental policies.
  • Demonstrate ability to liaise with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in state and federal cyber security policies and frameworks.
  • Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline; or equivalent relevant industry experience.
  • The role requires a security clearance to the level of Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) as a condition of employment.
  • An Australian Citizen including the ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 National Security Clearance and undergo a police check.
