About the Role:

Cyber Security NSW is looking for a manager to lead our strategy policy & government relations in Sydney. We are seeking candidates with strong organisational skills and stakeholder management who have experience leading the development and coordination of strategic cyber security advice, strategy development, along with an advanced understanding of cyber security policies, standards, and reporting protocols in a NSW Government context.

  • Represent the organisation at relevant working groups and produce briefing notes and other reporting to drive best practice and information sharing to governance groups.
  • Develop and provide strategic advice on submission requests ranging from external providers through to Cabinet submissions, ensuring engagement with technical stakeholders as required.
  • Undertake qualitative research across large data sets to understand behavioural changes from cyber awareness training methods.
  • Lead organisational and/or Government policy and initiatives, through the provision of cyber security related advice, information and/or training to relevant stakeholders to facilitate the appropriate interpretation and implementation of cyber security.
  • Develop best practice cyber security policies, standards, reporting protocols, ICT contracts, and risk assessments.
  • Develop and synergise DCS and Cyber Security NSW Strategies, ensuring inclusion and alignment to remit of ID Support NSW.
  • Provide exemplary stakeholder management through correspondence, written reports, publications, and briefs, that are informative, meet stakeholder and customer needs and are aligned with agency requirements, to support informed decision-making and contribute to the achievement of service delivery outcomes.
