Senior Project and Contract Officer

This is a key opportunity for an experienced professional to join a Government department on an assignment for up to 12 months.
The role involves providing support in the planning and delivery of a large work program to deliver an end-to-end procurement strategy and contract services for Whole of Government office management service delivery. This includes applying structured project management approaches with a focus on the contract transition phase, monitoring and maintaining project scope, budget, and timelines, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Support a WoG office management procurement program by managing risk across all project phases, using the Victorian Government Risk Management Framework to identify and mitigate key procurement and operational risks.
- Provide governance support to the Senior Project Manager and Director, including drafting terms of reference, coordinating working groups and Steering Committees, and ensuring compliance with Victorian Government Procurement Board and broader legislative and policy frameworks.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in supporting project and contract management requirements for complex commercial procurements, preferably in a Victorian Government context. Strong project management skills are essential, as well as exceptional stakeholder relationship skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
