Groundsperson Opportunity at Royal Randwick Racecourse
">We are seeking a skilled Groundsperson to join our team and contribute to maintaining the course proper, training tracks and grounds.
">The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in turf management, general operational and mechanical maintenance skills, and be licenced to operate specialist machinery.
">- Maintain turf, synthetic, artificial and other surfaces to ensure they are presented in the best possible condition.
- Operate plant equipment such as tractors, mowers, front end loaders and forklifts.
- Conduct routine maintenance of facilities and equipment.
Requirements:
">- Demonstrated experience in a similar role;
- General operational and mechanical maintenance skills;
- Licences to operate specialist machinery;
- Experience with plant and equipment including Bobcat, Grader and Excavator desirable;
- Sound knowledge and practical experience of handling and spraying chemicals;
- Able to work independently and as part of a team;
- Sound verbal and interpersonal communication skills;
- Sound literacy and numeracy skills;
