This is a permanent, full-time position based at Royal Randwick Racecourse, responsible for maintaining the course proper, training tracks, and grounds to ensure optimal condition for race days and events.
Responsibilities include:- General maintenance work including labouring, cleaning, and groundskeeping
- Operating plant equipment such as tractors, mowers, forklifts, and other machinery
- Routine maintenance of turf, synthetic, and artificial surfaces
- Work hours are 8:30 am – 5:00 pm on non-race days; race day schedule varies
- Experience in turf management or similar role preferred
- Operational and mechanical maintenance skills
- Licences for machinery operation preferred
- Experience with plant equipment like Bobcat, Grader, Excavator desirable
- Knowledge of chemical handling and spraying
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Strong communication skills and outdoor work enjoyment
