Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

Location: Trott Park

Job Type: Permanent Part-Time

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Trott Park. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the preparation of nutritious and flavoursome meals for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of meals for residents, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Liaise with the staff at the centre to ensure that meals are received well and to gather feedback on dietary requirements.
  • Use initiative and be organized to meet food service needs, including promoting healthy eating practices.
  • Lead and assist the hospitality team in meal preparation and following food handling practices.
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to residents, families, and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Working towards Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
  • Experience working in an aged care environment.
  • Proven ability to work in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated understanding of food hygiene practices.
  • Ability to develop a strong, cohesive team.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
