About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Scape Eats Team as a Kitchen Steward. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, as well as assisting with food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including washing and storing dishes, utensils, and equipment
  • Assist with food preparation, including basic cooking and plating
  • Operate commercial dish machines and other kitchen equipment
  • Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective service
  • Provide excellent customer service to our student residents

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience operating commercial electric equipment and dish machines
  • Prior experience of specific cleaning methods as they apply to different metals and surfaces
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Positive and can-do attitude
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently
  • Strong awareness of Hygiene & Food Safety Standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to follow instruction
