Job Overview

Cummins Inc. is seeking a skilled Engine Workshop Technician to join our team in the vehicle product repair department.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, based on location and experience.

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong background in engine repair and maintenance. As an Engine Workshop Technician, you will be responsible for completing repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop under supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and schedule maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools.
  • Disassemble, inspect, and clean engines and/or engine components.
  • Assist with completion of required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims, and quality forms, via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
  • Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.
  • Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation and report any issues/incidents to your supervisor.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Apprentice-trained engine technician or equivalent experience.
  • Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution.
  • Locally valid driving permit (preferred).
  • Cummins or engine work experience would benefit within this role.
