About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Compliance Officer to join our team at Kmart. As a key member of our compliance team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our business operates within the bounds of Australian Consumer Law and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement compliance frameworks to ensure regulatory compliance across the Kmart and Target businesses.
  • Provide guidance and training to first-line business teams on compliance obligations and risk management.
  • Manage day-to-day regulator interactions and maintain compliance program documents.
  • Identify and assess changes in business and legislation that impact the wider Kmart and Target business.
  • Collaborate with business teams to identify compliance obligations and manage incidents.
Requirements
  • 5 years' experience in a similar compliance role.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced or intricately regulated environment.
  • Working knowledge of Australian Consumer Law.
  • Understanding of the regulatory environment applicable to consumer products in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Demonstrated expertise in crafting and implementing compliance frameworks.
  • Strong customer-centric communication skills and a keen ability to advocate for compliance priorities.
