Job Summary

This position is responsible for partnering with senior management in Integral Senior Living to be the key finance interface between the finance team and the business for the organization. The role also has responsibility for supporting the overall financial management of the business, including reporting of actions, monitoring and updating of project budgets, forecasts, annual budgeting/planning, and other financial related matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business partner with senior management to achieve financial outcomes of the business
  • Coordinate Cubic financial management and projections in accordance with company policy
  • Establish cost accounting structure of projects
  • Provide finance interface between Integral Senior Living and its customers regarding financial matters
  • Provide sound supervision and coaching to team members, including setting aligned team and individual goals, providing employee feedback, undertaking formal performance reviews, resolving conflict, etc.
  • Ensure delivery and presentation of timely, accurate, and compliant project financial and regional results and status monthly
  • Participate with scheduling professionals in the creation of project schedules and product reviews
  • Prepare monthly reporting, including commentary on significant financial changes and highlight foreseen risks and opportunities to the senior leadership team
  • Investigate and follow up on any variances arising
  • Responsible for forecasting and budgeting/planning for the business
  • Key attendee of monthly project/business review meetings
  • Liaise with project/production managers to ensure that all project costs are controlled in a timely manner
  • Ensure that there is integrity in information of project status, contract values, and estimates to completion as represented by project/contract managers
  • Keep the business and company management informed with respect to billings, retentions, debtors, and cash flow relating to individual projects at a summary level for senior management consumption
  • Assist in the preparation and reviewing of bid summaries for accuracy and compliance with company rates and markups
  • Ensure that all project accounting processes comply with the Corporate Sarbanes-Oxley procedures and that related Sarbanes-Oxley controls are performed in a timely manner
  • Work within the policies, processes, and guidelines of Integral Senior Living
  • Establish first-class systems and metrics to monitor performance of the business against budget
  • Advise on techniques for analyzing the financial position of projects, identifying problem areas, establishing current position, and forecasting trends
  • Assist in improving department procedures where possible
  • Provide support to the Director of Finance and Senior Management as and when required
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a tertiary institution
  • Qualified CA/CPA or equivalent with 5+ years post-qualified experience
  • Skills/Experience/Knowledge: 8 years project accounting or management accounting experience, excellent computer and advanced Excel skills, knowledge and understanding of a project-based environment within which businesses need to operate, both locally and globally
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate staff
  • Ability to understand the detail and identify areas for business improvement
  • Ability to actively be an influencer and integral member of the Finance Team
  • Able to cope with change and conflicting demands
  • A proactive decision maker, able to work unsupervised
  • Exceptional analytical and interpretative skills
  • Ability to produce quality written and verbal commentary for project reporting and decision-making
  • Personal Qualities: Attention to detail, self-motivated, excellent interpersonal skills, exceptional time management, ability to lead and effectively manage a team to high performance
