About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Catering Assistant to join our team at Coolamon Villa Residential Aged Care home in Mullumbimby. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will assist our Chef in preparing fresh meals for our residents, ensuring their nutritional requirements are met at all times. Your role will involve delivering meals to our residents in a professional and efficient manner, maintaining cleanliness in our dining room and servery areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with food preparation and presentation
  • Deliver meals to residents in a timely and respectful manner
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas
  • Work collaboratively with the Chef and other team members to achieve excellent service standards

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an aged care environment
  • Knowledge of food preparation and safe food handling practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Awareness of relevant WHS guidelines and HACCP requirements
