Role Overview

We are seeking a professional to fill the position of Food Services Assistant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and working collaboratively with the kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assist in the preparation and serving of meals to residents, adhering to our culinary philosophy and food safety standards.
  • To maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to our infection control and health and safety policies.
  • To work effectively as part of a team, communicating openly and honestly with colleagues and management.
  • Flexibility to work morning &/or afternoon shifts across the week is essential.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to changing circumstances is also important.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • Experience in an aged care facility or hospital environment is also an advantage, providing services that support high-quality food services outcomes for residents, customers, and staff of the Facility.
  • High level of customer service skills, with the ability to provide a catering and kitchen service that is consistent with the mission and philosophy of our organisation, and food safety standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential.
  • An understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities is also necessary.
  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (valid within 6 months) and NDIS Worker Screening Check will be required for this role.
