We are seeking a proactive and experienced individual capable of performing general maintenance of parks and gardens across the City, including the upkeep of road corridors and other City-owned and managed properties. What impact will you make?

You enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team, under the guidance of the Team Leader, in all facets of general parks and gardens maintenance, including: Operation of ride-on mowers, edgers, blowers, and brush cutters. Operating tractors for various tasks, such as slashing and turf renovations. Managing weeds, including the application of herbicides and manual weed removal. Collecting litter, cleaning, and blowing down paved areas. Participating in tree planting and street watering initiatives as directed. You are willing to perform basic daily maintenance and safety checks on mowing equipment utilized during your duties. You are approachable and will address customer inquiries (in the field) in a professional and courteous manner.

What can you bring to the team?

Certificate II in Horticulture and/or qualifications in turf management or equivalent demonstrated experience Current White Card Previous experience in a parks and gardens setting General understanding of irrigation system monitoring and maintenance Knowledge and experience in the safe handling and application of weed control chemicals Proficient in using tablets, smartphones, and other electronic devices Current unrestricted C class driver's licence Current unrestricted MR (Medium Rigid) class national driver's licence (desirable) As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to undergo a comprehensive pre-employment medical examination that includes drug and alcohol testing

These full-time/part-time OSE 2 positions offer a salary range of $64,554 to $66,232 gross per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
