Scientific Laboratory Assistant Position

Job Summary:
A senior laboratory assistant is required to work in a fast-paced, dynamic laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in a high throughput environment and be able to contribute to the smooth running of our laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and analysis of water and soil samples using latest analytical technology
- Ensuring preparation and analytical procedures are conducted in accordance with quality work instructions
- Completing tasks within set timeframes and to relevant analysis standard
- Assisting in laboratory maintenance duties
- Organising daily tasks to maximise efficiency
- Reporting anomalies in results and sample type/behaviour
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in a commercial laboratory environment preferred
- Excellent attention to detail, communication and organisational skills
- Dedication to safe, quality laboratory practices
- Strong commitment to client service
- Positive work attitude and willingness to learn new skills
