Scientific Laboratory Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced laboratory supervisor to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical laboratory science and experience in supervising a multi-disciplinary team. They will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory, managing staff rosters, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
The successful applicant will possess excellent leadership skills, be able to work effectively under pressure, and have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements. They will also be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contribute to the development of new tests and procedures, and participate in ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise a multi-disciplinary laboratory team
- Ensure continuity of 24/7 lab operations, manage staff roster, and leave according to Healius policies
- Maintain high standards of quality and safety
- Develop and implement new tests and procedures
- Participate in ongoing professional development
Requirements:
- Tertiary degree in medical laboratory science or equivalent
- Australian citizen, permanent resident, or valid visa with permission to work
- At least 3 years' experience in a multi-disciplinary laboratory environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements
